nVidia’s Coolbits overclocking tool is very powerful and can damage your GPU if used carelessly. It will also void your warranty, so you’ve been warned.

First, you’ll need to enable Coolbits. Click the Start menu, choose Run, and then type regedit. Click OK. Scroll down the left-hand window to the item labeled “KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak“. Click the + button and select NVTweak. Right-click the right-hand menu and choose “New DWORD Value“. Name this “Coolbits” (without quote) and change its value to either 3 (for a single card) or 1A (for SLI mode). Exit the Registry Editior.

Open Display Control Panel and choose Clock Frequency Settings. Click Detect Optimal Frequency to have Coolbits automatically increase core and memory clock speeds; alternatively, you can select specific values using the sliders, testing each for stability at each step.
