Reviewer: MPR13,
Firstly I did tons of research before this purchase. I can't stand FPS on console. However all my friends are on PSN so I picked this up because MW2 on PC Multiplayer is sorely lacking, so if I'm gonna play something that I'm not completely happy with I might as well do so with friends.

Here's where the FragFX comes in, I have MW2 sensitivity set to max, and the setting on the "fragchuk" to 3. Smooth as silk. I saw so many reviews about it being crap, aftr a few hours hands on I'd have to disagree. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could because there are some minor flaws.

1. Doesn't support Windows 7 64 bit (Website says the Pro will as of Jan 2010, I have the v.2 SE and it says nothing about 64 bit. I tried to force it under XP compatability but it wouldn't do it's thing. Luckily my laptop is 32 bit but I still can't seem to get it to update, I'm guessing because the laptop is Windows 7)
2. Feels a bit cheap
3. The R3 button (where a mouse wheel would be) is kind of hard to hit, and the start button is right below that

The good stuff

1. Smooth as silk on MW2
2. The waggle options are great, I use it to bypass my issues with R3 as I have a side to side motion set (which in MW2 is default Knife). I also have the throw motion mapped to grenade.
3. As I'm unable to fully update the firmware, I'm happy to say that the research I did where people said it's crap for MW2 were completely wrong.

Don't bother doing research on the net as most of the bashing or super hyping of this product is done by 1 postcount trolls. As you can see I've had plenty of other reviews that have nothing to do with the PS3.
Best FPS controller out now!

This one has all the other features of the previous version like rapid fire, on the fly sensitivity adjustment for mouse, sixaxis motion control and dominate accuracy with the mouse.

I love my FragFX SE as it gives me a very big advantage over my competition online. Right out of the box it works wonders and very easy to use.

Great reviews from everywhere for this controller, and great support from SplitFish for this product. If you ever wonder why you are getting murked online when playing MW2, Killzone, Uncharted, MAG, or Battlefield, it's probably because the gamers are using a FragFX controller.

As you can tell I'm very happy with my FragfX SE. :-)
I like it.

I was not too happy with the DS3 controller when playing FPS games. I am no expert but it sucked when I see a guy and before I took ages to aim at the guy, the other guy would sit down aim and kill me. Yeah, like I said I am not an expert.

I was not able to enjoy the game coz I would get killed almost every 30sec.

I have played few fps on PC, so keyboard and mouse is natural to me. This product offered to do the same on ps3, so I purchased it.

I wanted to play using it asap so I went to the local frys store, searched for the product. There were already 2 returns being sold for $7 less. I though this might be highly returned product. Anyway, I took a new one and headed home.

Because I have a 8 month old kid, I can't keep the controller connected to the PS3 all the time, coz he can easily access and cable. So I have to unplug the controller and put it safely away from him. For the first time I realised that attaching a usb to the ps3 is bit tricky coz the usb socket is somewhat below and "inside". Anyway, I plugged it and expected to kill more people then usual.:)

The controller can not be used as is, I had to adjust the sensitivity in in-game setting and also the one on the controller. I haven't found the sweet spot yet, but I am close enough.

The PS button on the conroller does not start the console, instead I have to start the console first then press the PS button on the controller before the controller starts to work.

10foot cable is good enough from the corner of the room to the couch.

This one does not come with a mousepad, so you have to get your own or try different surfaces that suits you.

The controller did help me with enjoying the game bit better, coz now if i see someone first, i can kill him before he can react. But still i do get killed all the time coz i tend to run into the ambush quit easily.

I tried the controller with call of duty demo version, the response is very very good. Much better than in battlefield 1943, that I am using this controller to play.

The controller does not feel as sturdy as DS3 but, it will do.

Overall, I am quite happy with the product (before it stops working?) and would recommend other if they like playing FPS on ps3.

update: I found the microfiber of the sofa to be the best surface for the mouse.
Does the job...but...

Reviewer: Stephen Ma,
I did mad research before purchasing this controller. Mainly I had to decide between FragFX and FragNstein. What I got out of it is that no controller is perfect. I ended up purchasing this one to play Army of Two and other first person shooters because transition from the PC to PS3 controller is ridiculously hard. I ended up getting this one...because it's cheaper. And this one does the job.

Pros:
--The instant you play with this controller, your skill goes way up...even without tweaks and straight out of the box. For the most part, it does deliver the "PC" experience as you would expect. This is what I wanted, and is why I gave this controller 4 stars.
--The cord is decently long.
--I really like the on-the-fly sensitivity knob that allows you to change the sensitivity whenever you want.

Cons:
--It's corded...not a big deal but would prefer wireless.
--Because of the analog stick acceleration factor, small movements with the mouse would either not register or would "jump". Not really a big deal if you get the sensitivity right and upgrade to latest firmware.
--The build quality is terrible...the mouse feel cheap and light. I guess I got what I paid for, because this is the cheapest of this type of controller.
--The "nunchuk" is a tad bulky and awkward to hold. I didn't use the big "frag" button, and I don't think I ever will. I don't really like it.

Look, don't get caught up with the glowing reviews for FragFX or FragNstein. Nor should you trust the extremely negative reviews trashing either. Truth is, with either controller, you'll need to custom tweak it to your liking.

I actually ordered the FragNstein a couple days ago because the cord, while long, is a little annoying, and I'll update this review with my findings. For those who expect this to perform "LIKE" a PC mouse, you'll enjoy this controller. For those who expect this to perform "AS" a PC mouse, you'll need to adjust your expectations.

If you are a Computer gamer that is tired of upgrading your box every time a new games comes out... this is the solution for you...

I have tried ALL of the Ps3 mouse controllers out ther.... (ALL of them! ) even previous versions of the fragfx or the newer ones (wireless)

Let me tell you.. so far all the wireless ones have LAG! yes LAG! (even the fragfx pro wireless) it doenst feel right ... is just a micro second but you feel the lag and get kill... don't believe me? get a wireless one and try it side by side you'll see what i'm talking about...

I have cables with a passion ... but i love to play MW2 ... and this is the controller for you if you like FPS in a computer...

I have tried two older versions of this controller ... they are CRAP ... I broke 3! of them just playing... quality of the build sucked... but the V.2 SE is totally different (new users may find it crappy... but trust me the older versions where totally worst)

just make sure you update the firmware to the latest and have the correct settings for the game (sensitivity wise)... and you are ready to go...

*you have to love the rapid fire of this control (customizable turbo controller button) is great when using non automatic guns in MW2 (just this is a must buy)
