Ubistar Presents Sencio Linux-Based In-Car GPS

Ubistar recently unveiled Sencio, a 4-inch in-car GPS navigation system. Powered by SiRF Star III GPS receiver, this device features an Intel Xscale PXA-255 (200MHz) processor, media player, a SD card slot, an integrated 0.5W speakers, and a 260K colors TFT LCD display with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and AUX-IN input terminal which allows you to connect it to external video resources, such as TV, DMB, VCD, or DVD player. It runs on Linux 2.6x platform, but strangely, it doesn’t come with rechargable batteries. So you can only use it on your car as long as the power adapter plugged on the car’s charger. Too bad.

The usage of Linux platform might press the production price, and the lack of rechargable batteries could further lower your budget. However, isn’t it silly to have an in-car-only GPS navigation system these days?
