Surfboard Lets You Surf While Surfing

Confused with the title? Here’s the explanation. Devon “shaper” Jools Matthews has built a prototype of a surfboard that lets the surfers to surf the net while surfing waves. Built with solar-powered technology, it comes with a laptop, video camera, and WiFi capability that would take advantage of the hotspot located on the beach. The surfboard will be launched at the Intel GoldCoast Oceanfest on 18 June.
The board itself is 9ft 4 inch long board. It housed a Intel-powered notebook that has a wireless chip, 1.7Ghz processor, and 80GB hard drive. The laptop, weighs 2.3kg, is obviously has a waterproof casing, made of a tough but lightweight tray, and has a silicone seal, a crystal PVC cover and an aluminium gasket. The solar panel is fitted onto the board and the video camera has 64MB internal memory for storing the wave action movie.
