Sony Walkman Almost in the same time as Apple announce the release of Apple’s iPod Nano, Sony released its new walkman named Walkman. On the press release, Sony said that Walkman is the new digital music player from Sony features spectacular ergonomic design and an exciting range of intelligent features that allow the user to enjoy music in a totally new way.

Sony Walkman is available in two capacity sizes: 20GB (NW-A3000) and 6GB (NW-A1000). Both have OLED screen, 2.0″ on NW-A3000 and 1.5″ on NW-A1000. The 20GB model comes in violet and silver only while the smaller 6GB version has additional color of pink and blue.

Sony Walkman features two new shuffle functions, “My Favorite Shuffle” and “Time Machine Suffle”. The first shuffle function will automatically select 100 most listened songs and plays them at random. The other function, “Time Machine Shuffle”, randomly selects a year and plays all of the songs from that particular year that are currently held on the device.

Upon playing a song, you can press a button which will start the “Artist Link” feature. This function search the device for every artist, album, and song stored and then offer suggestions of artists and bands closely linked to the genre of music being played at that time.

Furthermore, as stated in the press release, the new Sony Walkman will be simultaneously introduced with a whole range of design-matching accessories such as a stylish remote control for easier navigation, various carrying cases, a docking station for convenient connection with the PC as well as a docking speaker system giving the option to both connect to a PC as well as playing music through the speakers.
