Right after we posted a review of Sony Ericsson’s Z520a cell phone a week ago, its next generation is revealed, the Z530 Series. This clamshell multimedia phone offers an ultra bright 65k colors internal LCD screen, 101×80 monochrome outer display, 28MB of onboard memory with Memory Stick Micro (M2) expansion support for up to 1 GB extra storage, VGA camera with 4x digital zoom and video recording capability, Media Player, RSS Reader, MMS, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, push-email, and a full HTML Internet browser. It operates under GSM network (900/1800/1900) and available in three colors – Chromic Grey, Soft Black and Elegant Red.

Measures 90 x 47 x 24 mm and weighs 93 grams, Sony Ericsson Z530 provides 540 minutes of talk time, and up to 400 hours of standby time. This cell phone will start shipping on Q2 2006 in two variants, the Z530c for Mainland China market and z530i for Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific area.
