Sony 4GB Memory Stick Pro DuoSony announced that they will launch a 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo later in July, along with an 8GB one. Being presented at the PMA, this media card comes at one-third the size and half the weight of the standard-size Memory Stick card. It is said to be compatible with a wide range of devices, including Sony’s Cyber-Shot T Series and W Series digital camera, camcorders, and PSP. That’s great, since now you can replace your previous 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo with this new 4GB card with double storage capacity, thus keeping more multimedia contents, such as movies, music, and digital photos. One more thing. To secure distribution of commercial content, like digital music or movies, the 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo card incorporates the MagicGate copyright protection technology.

Btw, about the PSP, incase you didn’t know yet, you can also use Sony’s PSP Card Reader and use other type of memory card on your PSP. It supports CF, SD, and MMC card with up to 4GB of capacity. So if you don’t want to wait until July for the 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo, you can grab the reader and buy other 4GB media card.
