Seiko Bluetooth Watch That Connect To Your Cell Phone

Seiko Bluetooth WatchSeiko Japan is currently developing a unique watch that is able to connect to your cell phone via Bluetooth. Still a prototype though, but it is already able to display phone’s network’s signal strength, battery life, and new message indicator. Furthermore, with a special software from Seiko installed on the phone, the watch can also display the message’s subject, along with the name of the sender. Hold on, there’s more. Upon receiving a call or SMS, the watch will act like a cell phone by playing a melody (polyphonic ringtone?) and even vibrate. And since it won’t be nice to hear both your phone and the watch ringtone, the watch is equipped with the capability to silent your phone’s ringtone. Wow.

According to the company, this Bluetooth Watch is planned to relase to public by 2007. I hope at that time the watch is also equipped with an integrated microphone and speaker, so we can use it like a real phone. That’d be cool I think.
