Pupillo Surveillance Camera PhoneIf you still amazed with the Cuckoo IP, it’s time to move on. There’s another gadget in town that can be dialled from your cell phone. Not a clock this time, but a surveillance camera called “Pupillo”. While normal surveillance camera or CCTV requires a television to display the captured video, Pupillo stands out from the crowd by providing a way to watch the video right though your phone.

Closed-circuit television (CCTV), as a collection of surveillance cameras doing video surveillance, is the use of television cameras for surveillance. It differs from broadcast television in that all components are directly linked via cables or other direct means. CCTV is often used in areas where there is an increased need for security, such as banks, casinos, and airports. The use of CCTVs in public places has increased, causing debate over security vs. privacy. [ source ]

Created by Three Telecom of the United Kingdom, this battery-powered surveillance camera has its own phone number. If you call it from your cell phone and enter the correct PIN, you can view the snapped video from the spy-cam on your cell phone display, just like a video call.

You can use this surveillance camera phone, not just for the security purpose, but also for watching your kids, pets, pretty neighbours, plants (huh?), etc. It even comes with a night vision, so you wont’ miss your target in the middle of the night.

The Pupillo is currently available in UK for £150.
