MPIO, a Korean manufacturer, has recently presented their new MP3 Player which is based on several famous Disney characters. To name a few: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Winnie The Pooh. Thanks to this FY700 player, the long list of Disney-based devices and gadgets has grown up again. The good thing is, this is not a usual portable digital music player. This MP3 player has won the prestigious Best Innovation Award in the portable digital audio category at the CES 2006. Cool, isn’t it?

Let’s find out why.

First, it uses multi-level cell (MLC) flash technology which effectively double storage capacity of standard flash devices. Second, it comes with a detachable strap that can be worn on the wrist or as a belt. Furthermore, it also has an Organic LED (OLED) display which is low on power consumption. Powered by an AAA battery, the device offers 10 hours of continous audio playback.

MPIO FY700 MP3 player supports MP3, WMA, Janus DRM, and ASF audio formats. Several capacity variants are available, ranging from 256MB to 1GB. No words about the price and availibity yet, but it will be released in Europe and USA too for sure.
