Do you want to have an MP3 player that can replace your old TV remote controller? Do you want to have an MP3 player that doesn’t give you an extra works with the USB port caps? I do, at least the caps thing (I’m still satisfied with my old remote controller). I hate to have to open the rubber caps just to plug in the USB connector. Yeah, call me lazy, but trust me, your life would be much happier if you don’t have to waste your time with the caps.

Thankfully, a company called Median know the answer to my problem. They have recently announced that their new portable MP3 player under the M-Cody range, the MX-500 model, will be available before the end of the month. Like its predecessor, the MX-700 model, the device is equipped with a built-in infrared connectivity for having some fun with your TV (read: a universal TV remote controller).

Other features include an OLED display, FM radio tuner with recording capability, voice record, and text viewer. It can play WMA, MP3, and Ogg Vorbis audio files. The flash-based M-Cody MX-500 MP3 Player will be available in four capacity variants – 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB. No words about the price yet.
