LG and Verizon Wireless has launched LG VX1000, a simple phone aimed at kids. Dubbed as “LG Migo”, the phone has 4 Programmable Numbers, speakerphone, Hearing Aid compatibility, simplified keypad and interface, and dedicated emmergency button. It looks like Migo is a pretty basic phone. The other similar products have much better features. For example, the Firefly Cell Phone that comes with 20 programmable numbers which is 5x more than the Migo offers.
According to Verizon, the phone doesn’t have support for Voicemail, Web Browsing or sending and receiving text messages. Well, they don’t have to mention it I think… kids won’t even bother to use any of those missing features.
