Cowon A2 Portable Media Player (PMP) features a 30GB hard disk drive (no memory expansion slot though), voice recording function, video recording function, and FM radio tuner. Measures 5.3 x 3.0 x 0.9 inches and weighs 10.5 oz, this device comes with a 4-inch (480 x 272) LCD display. On top of the player, there are two built-in speakers and (one) microphone. The panel on the side hides a USB port and a USB Host port. The most incredible part of this PMP is that it offers 10 hours of video playback time and 18 hours for audio. That’s really a lot for similar device. The price is $459.99 and available at Amazon.

The Cowon A2 is a portable media player/recorder with a 30GB hard drive, a widescreen 4-inch LCD, and an integrated FM tuner. Its video and audio playback capabilities are good, the design is attractive, and the interface is fairly easy to use, but we’re a bit disappointed in what we feel is the device’s main feature: video recording. There are also some file-compatibility issues that need to be worked out before we can get really excited about this product.
