CMTech is going to launch their new T-DMB PMP Live device, the CD-1000 model, soon in May. This flash-based portable media player features a large 4.3-inch display, SD memory card slot for additional storage, digital album, USB 2.0 connectivity, and built-in stereo speaker. It supports widerange video format, including DivX, XVid, and WMV9.

According to a reliable source from the company, they chose flash memory over HDD since HDD is vulnerable to external shock, and they also tried to enhance portability with slim and light design. Additional applications such as navigation, camera, and electronic dictionary will be included in the future, he said.
