Cell Phone To Provide Cancer Diagnosis

A cancer diagnosis tool on the cell phone has been developed by Dr Nitzan Yaniv. By installing the software on the phone and adding a basic infrared camera, your cell phone can now provide an accurate – well, more accurate than doing self-checks at least – cancer diagnosis. The results of the scan also could be immediately transferred to a medical laboratory for analysis, which could determine whether further checks were necessary.
The software works by processing the scanned image from the infrared camera, analysing temperature differences in different part of the breast, or oxygen flow to areas of the breast. If you want to know more about breast cancer, check out several articles at our health blog, HDMC.
Cellcom, an Israeli phone operator, is now working to integrate the infrared sensor technology into the cameras.
