Well, well, look who’s joining the Portable Media Player market. It’s Acer, and they boast the new MP-500 as their weapon on the PMP sales war. This multimedia device offer a nice 3.5-inch touchscreen LCD screen with stylus, a TV-out feature, integrated microphone, and two capacity variants – 20GB and 40GB. For audio playback, it supports MP3, WMA, and AAC format, while for the image viewer, it supports JPEG and BMP files. It runs video as well, but there’s no detail about the supported video formats yet. No information about the price and availability either.
