What do you get from a sand, soap, water, air, and two plate of glasses? A 12,800 yen art called Sand Picture! As if the DNA Art wasn’t strange enough, the Sand Picture is made by arranging soap, water, and sand; and then “press” it with two plates of glasses. With a little air left inside, it’d make the effect of falling sand and mysterious landscape.
Falling speed of the sand is depend on the air quantity inside the frame. If I get it correctly from the Japanese translation, you can also adjust the air quantity, thus controlling the sand speed. And like a sand clock, when all the sand has fallen completely, you can reverse the picture up and down, and it will create another sand art.
