Sharp finally decides to join the Blu-Ray wagon with its debut, BD-HP1 player/burner. It is able to record up to 3 hours of HD video (17MBps) on a 25GB disk or 6 hours and 30 minutes on SD (8Mbps). Furthermore, the device is equipped with 2 i/LINK ports, 1 HDMI port, 1 D4 port, and Fami-Link, a universal remote control for all Sharp products. Sounds good, huh? Well, the bad side, it only supports single-layer disk burning.
Sharp BD-HP1 Blu-Ray Player/Burner is retailed for about €920.
