Samsung Syncmaster CX719TD LCD MonitorFrom their latest announcement, Samsung Korea mentioned that they will soon release the Syncmaster CX719TD LCD monitor in, obviously, Korea. This 17-inch monitor comes with a touchscreen surface right on its entire front panel. It creates an electromagnetic field which allows you to use the stylus instead of the mouse. This special type of stylus can be used continously for 3 hours before recharged. The monitor itself has a contrast ratio of 700:1, which is quite good.

Interested? Well, think twice. Samsung will retail its Syncmaster CX719TD for 900,000 KRW or around $920. That’s about 3x the price of a standard LCD monitor with the same size. FYI, my 17-inch BenQ FP71G+S monitor only cost me $269. Of course it doesn’t have a touchscreen interface, but at least it does its job well.
