Panasonic has started shipping their new flat panel TV on the VIERA series, the 65-inches TH-65PV500. This plasma TV comes with a very unique feature – the ability to record TV program directly into SD Card, as well as PCMCIA cards, in MPEG4 format. It can also playback MPEG4 video or display JPEG picture format using the embedded PCMCIA and SD Card slots.
TH-65PV500 is a HD ready TV with an integrated DVB-T tuner for compatibility with digital terrestrial broadcasts such as the Freeview service in the UK. It also accepting HDMI connections for additional video input. Both 720p and 1080i signal formats are supported, with 8.6 Billion reproducible colours and 2,048 greyscales.
Panasonic’s TH-65PV500 HDTV is now available in several European markets and sells for around €10,000 EUR.
