Now let’s see what Sony has on its CEATEC’s booth. Since Blu-Ray is the next big hit, and a HD-DVD killer as well, the company presented its latest Blu-Ray media recorder, the BDZ-V9 and the BDZ-V7. These two burners are equipped with a digital TV tuner, a built-in hard disk – 500GB for the BDZ-V9 model and 250GB for the V7; D Matrix NR HD for automatic noise correction, and of course, a Blu-Ray disc recorder and player. Both of them can record video in 1080i 40Mbps Mpeg-2 format, as well as AVC Mpeg-4 and VC-1 SMPTE formats. Finally, PSP owners would be glad with the possibility to send the recorded video from the Blu-Ray recorder directly onto the PSP.
