BenQ recently introduced the DMP300 digital media player at the Computex 2006 exhibiton at Taipei. Like the Buffallo’s LinkTheather, this media player supports Intel’s ViiV-ready PC, uses Mediabolic software, and takes advantage of the Pihlips Nexperia media processor. Now let’s see whether the DMP300 also offers the same features as the LinkTheather.

Equipped with integrated 10/100 Ethernet LAN and WiFI connectivity, BenQ’s DMP300 digital media player lets you listen to your favourite music (MP3, WMA, PCM), view your romantic pictures (JPEG, BMP, JPEG2000), and watch the box-office movies (MPEG 1/2/4, WMV9, XviD). To connect with other media sources, it comes with composite, S-video, component, and HDMI video output, and also analog and S/PDIF digital audio output. Three USB 2.0 ports are provided as well. And besides ViiV, the DMP300 supports uPnP (Universal Plug and Play) and Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) technologies too.

BenQ DMP300 Digital Media Player is planned to hit the market on the second quarter of this year in Taiwan.
