Here’s the second new digital camera from Samsung under its (also) new NV series, the NV7 OPS. Measures 4.2 x 2.5 x 8 inch, this slim 7 megapixel camera features a two types of image stabilization, OPS (Optical Picture Stabilization) and ASR (Advanced Share Reduction). The first technology will physically adjusts the CCD to reduce handshake, while the second one does it in eletronical way and ensure a steady and crystal-clear shot in almost any condition. The camera also introduces a revolution easy-to-use Graphical User Interface (GUI) that allows users to easily toggle through menu functions using a convenient touch pad located along the LCD on the back of the camera.

Comes in solid and elegant black color, NV7 digital camera offers a 7x optical zoom (equivalent to 38-270 mm in 35 mm format), manual exposure adjustment (Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, and Manual adjustment), Auto Macro function that automatically adjusts shooting distance and focus between 10cm to infinity, and super macro mode that enables subjects to be photographed up to as close as 4 cm. Like NV3, this camera can also record movie in VGA (640×480) MPEG-4 format at the smooth 30fps quality. Movie stabilizer function is included so sharp and clear movie is guaranteed as well. With the built-in movie editing function, users can edit its recorded movie on-the-go.

For the creative minds, the camera provides several special effects functions, such as Color Effect, Highlight, Photo Frame, Negative and Composite Shot. Color effects include B/W, sepia, blue, green and red. A bunch of scene modes can also be found, including Night, Portrait, Children, Landscape, Close-up, Sunset, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach & Snow and Text Recognition. Again, like its sibling NV3, it has a mobile or portable scanner functionality, thanks to the Text Recognition scene modes.

Samsung NV7 digital camera will be available next Fall with a price tag of around $450.
