Samsung Camera announces three new digital camera for the coming Fall under the new NV series that sports a sleek and stylish design combined with high technology functionality. One of the trio I’m talking about is the NV3 digicam. This 7 megapixel camera features Samsung’s exclusive Digimax Converter software and Personal Media Player that lets users to play movies and MP3 files, along with the revolutionary SHD optics.

Planned to go retail for $349.99, Samsung’s NV3 digital camera offers a 16MB of onboard memory with SD card slot for external storage, 2.5-inch high resolution LCD display, 3x optical zoom (equivalent to 38-114mm in 35mm format) lens, and movie recording capability in 640×480 MPEG-4 format at 30fps. It comes with ASR (Advanced Shake Reduction) technology that reduces blurry images caused by shaking hands and unstable position thus ensuring crystal-clear images, as well as movie stabilizer function that automatically detects and corrects minor lateral and vertical camera movement. Movie editing function is also available on the camera.

For some creative photoshot, NV3 digital camera provides several photo effect to play with, such as Color Effect (B/W, sepia, blue, green and red.), Highlight, Photo Frame, Negative and Composite Shot. It also features 11 scene modes, including Night, Portrait, Children, Landscape, Close-up, Sunset, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach & Snow and Text Recognition. Text Recognition, a feature unique to Samsung digital still cameras, allows users to shoot documents such as books, papers and magazines and then extract text from the image taken using the bundled “Digimax Reader” text recognition software. In other words, it’s a mobile or portable scanner. Cool, isn’t it?
