Panasonic Japan recently announced the HDC-SD1, the world’s smallest camcorder that supports AVCHD format from Sony and Panasonic itself. It boasts a 3CCD sensor, Full HD 1080i (1920×1080) recording, a Leica D Lens which provides an impressive 12x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom, up to 65 minutes of recording time, simultaneous still photograph capture, and 5 integrated microphones which synchronized to the zoom and support Dolby 5.1 digital recording. Furthermore, this rich features video camera also comes with a 4GB SDHC card, 3-inch LCD, HDMI out port, USB and Viera link. The 4gigs card itself can keep over 40 minutes of video (13 Mbps), 60 mins (9 Mbps), or 90 mins (6 Mbps).

Measures 74 x 142 x 69mm and weighs 490gr, Panasonic HDC-SD1 AVCHD camcorder is planned to hit the market on December 1st with a price tag of 180,000 Yen or around $1550.
