Nikon Recalls Digital Camera Batteries

As reported by The US Consumer Product Safety Division, Nikon was voluntary recalling over 710,000 rechargeable battery packs model number EN-EL3. According to them, these batteries can short circuit, overheat, and possibly melt. Over 200,000 unit of those batteries have been distributed in US.
These lithium ion battery packs are included as a power source for Nikon digital cameras SLR D100, D70 and D50 cameras. A separated package also available on store.
