Eastman Kodak Company has announced the new EasyShare P712 digital camera. It sports a 7.1 megapixel sensor, 2.5-inch colors TFT LCD display, super-fast 0.07 seconds click-to-capture rate, 12x (36 – 432 mm equiv.) zoom, optical image-stabilized that provides a two-stop advantage over non-image stabilized system for better capturing subjects in low light, f2.8 – f/3.7, and SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH VARIOGON lens that delivers exquisite detail and sharpness. On the movie recording side, users may record a 640×480 movie at 30 fps.
Other features packed inside the digital camera include an ISO sensitivity up to 800, shuttle speed from 16 – 1/1000 sec in 1/3 step increments, 18 scene modes and 32MB of onboard memory with SD/MCC card slot for additional storage space. Measures 108 x 84.2 x 72 mm and weighs 403 grams, Kodak EasyShare P712 camera will be available worldwide starting from July and will carry a price tag of around $499.
