WidowPC Sting 917X2 Dual Core Notebook

WidowPC has announced the Sting 917X2, the world’s first dual-core notebook. By “dual-core” it means that this notebook has two cores in one processor. Each of them will be able to communicate, thus making multi-threaded applications much more faster and efficient.
Targetted as a gaming PC, the Sting 917X2 is equipped with an AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+ or FX57 processor, 256MB DDR3 memory, and either nVidia 7800 GTX, ATI X850 XT Platinum Edition, or nVidia Quadro 1400 video card.
Other features include a 17� 1900×1200 WUXGA+ LCD display with ClearView SuperBrite Technology, 2GB Apacer 400 Mhz Dual Channel DDR RAM, Fujitsu SATA and Ultra ATA drives with commanding queuing, full size keyboard, fully user upgradeable video & CPU, and TV tuner with remote available.
The WindowPC Sting 917X2 notebook is available now for US$ 3,477 at WidowPC website. As a big fans of AMD processor, I’d definitely put this laptop on my shopping list next year.. if I have that much spare money.
