NEC Lavie LA700/DD1F Entry-Level LaptopThere’ll be a bunch of news about digital cameras for today. But before that, let’s talk about these two new LaVie laptops from NEC first. The LA700/DD1F is an ultra-portable notebook that is powered by an Intel Celeron M383 (1GHz) processor, an Intel video chipset, 512MB of RAM (expandable up to 2GB), and 80GB of HDD. For less than 1300 EUR, it is also equipped with a DL DVD burner and a 12-inch LCD screen with 1280×768 max resolution. Not the best specs outthere, but NEC is targetted at entry-level users, so the configuration is quite okay for the target market. Especially with the low price.

The other new laptop, also an entry-level one, is the LL370/EA1F model. This 15-inch notebook offers 1024×768 max resolution (badddd), an AMD Sempron 3000+ (1.8GHz) processor, and a 256MB of RAM. Obviously, the cost is much cheaper than the first mentioned above. Just prepare 750 EUR, and you can bring this little baby home. Of course, only if you want to have a laptop, not if you want to have a GOOD laptop.
