Toshiba Portege M400-S4032 Tablet PCToshiba’s new Portege M400-S4032 Tablet PC has now joined the growing list of EV-DO-ready laptops. If you remember, the first laptop with built-in EV-DO receiver was LG’s LW20-EV notebook. After that, other companies like HP and Lenovo followed LG’s move and offered their own EV-DO laptops, such as Compaq nc6140, Compaq nc6320, and the Thinkpad T60 laptop. EV-DO itself, stands for Evolution Data Optimized, is a broadband network that delivers between 400 kbps to 700 kbps download rate.

Other than the built-in EV-DO, Toshiba’s Portege M400-S4032 Tablet PC offers a powerful Intel Core Duo T2400 (1.83GHz) processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 100GB of SATA HDD, DVD Super Multi drive, WiFI, Bluetooth, 1394 port, and Gigabit Ethernet. It has 12.1-inch widescreen display with 1024×768 XGA resolution and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 chipset. The price for this laptop is $2,199 for the standard configuration.
