OLPC XO Laptops Now Available in US

The non-profit OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) organization is start selling the OLPC’s XO laptop today in United States and Canada markets through “Give One Get One” porgram. Between November 12 and 26, anyone could buy two XO laptops for $399. One of them will be donated to a child in a developing nation, and the other one could be kept for themself (or their own children) in recognition of their contribution.
The OLPC XO laptop itself features a 7.5-inch display, a 256MB of main memory, a 1GB of storage, and a 433MHz AMD Geode LX-700 processor. It has a water and dust resistant chassis and pre-loaded with Sugar, a Linux-based operating system.
