New Toshiba Qosmio G40 Laptop Boasts Penryn

Like other notebook PC manufacturers, Toshiba Corporation also presents its own Penryn-powered laptop. Recently announced in Japan, the brand new Qosmio G40 laptop, along with an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 (2.5GHz) Penryn processor, is powered by an Intel PM965 Express chipset, a 400GB of hard drive (2×200), and an nVidia GeForce 8600 GT graphics engine. It has a 17-inch widescreen display with 1920×1200 WUXGA resolution, as well as a HD-DVD burner, an integrated 1.92 megapixel webcam, 5 x USB 2.0 ports, Type2 PC Card, ExpressCard/54, 5-in-1 media card reader (SD/SDHC/MMC/xD-Picture Card/Memory Stick PRO), HDMI out, and a host of connectivity options, including WiFI, Gigabit Ethernet, and built-in 56K modem.

Measures 440 x 299.4 x 38.1 ~ 45.3mm and weighs 4.8kg, this brand new Vista-loaded Qosmio G40 laptop will be available by the end of this month with a price tag of 430,000 Yen or about €2,700. Oh, btw, it has up to 3 hours of battery life.
