Malibal has just announced the new Satori series laptops with Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The whole Merom family can be choosen, including the T5500, T5600, T7200, T7400, and T7600 CPUs. The Satori itself is a 17-inch gaming and mobile workstation laptops. It is equipped with an Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GTX card with 512MB of GDDR3 memory, a 512MB of DDR2 SDRAM (expandable up to 2GB), up to 160GB of HDD, and a DVD/CD-RW combo drive or dual-layer DVD burner. Consumers can also configure the machine with 512MB Nvidia Quadro FX Go 2500M graphics engine for an additional $300 out of their pocket.
Other features packed on the Satori laptop includes an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera module, 4 x USB, serial port, DVI video out, Kengsinton Lock port, S-Video TV out, and PCMCIA Type II slot. When it comes to connectivity, the notebook offers built-in support for Wireless connection, Bluetooth, infrared, Ethernet network, and integrated modem. An optional TV tuner can be installed as well.
Furthermore, runs on Windows XP (Home or Profession edition) operating system, Malibal Satori series laptop is equipped with an 8-cell battery which provides up to 2.5 hours of usage. Price for base configuration is set at $2345 which includes an Intel Core 2 Duo T5500, a 512MB of memory and a 40GB hard drive.
