The newest tablet PC from Lenovo, X60s series, will feature an interesting MultiTouch screen technology. Means, it’ll be equipped with both Active and Passive digitizers. Incase you didn’t know, an Active digitizers, like those graphic tablets, is using a special input pen which makes it very precise. On the other hand, a Passive digitizers, doesn’t require one and users can even navigate around using their fingers, in exchange of the less accuracy. These kind of digitizers are usually found on PDAs and smartphones (and Nintendo DS as well). With the MultiTouch feature, X60s convertible laptop can have all the good advantages of both digitizers types.

Specs wise, on the inside, the tablet PC is powered by either an Intel Core Solo and Core Duo processor, an Intel 945GM chipset, and up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM. To process and supply images to the 12.1-inch XGA wideangle display, X60s is equipped with the standard Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950 with up to 128MB of shared system memory. Users with high mobility will enjoy its variety of connectivity options which include a Bluetooth, 802.11 a/b/g Wireless, integrated modem, and Gigabit Ethernet. Finally, the previously mentioned MultiTouch screen feature will allow either finger or pen touch to move cursor for ease of use and more natural interaction with tablet, while the MultiView display provides better screen technology for viewing indoors, outdoors, and from wide angles.
