And finally, here’s the third HP Pavilion series laptop which incorporated Intel’s new Santa Rosa platform, the Pavilion dv6500t. Most of its specs aren’t different than the Pavilion dv9500t and dv2500t models, such as GM965 chipset, Intel GMA X3100, Merom T7100 or T7300 CPU, up to 4GB of DDR2 main memory, and a variety of connectivity and input/output ports. Uses can also choose between a DVD/CD-RW combo drive, DVD burner, or LightScribe DVD burner.

On to the differences, Pavilion dv6500t laptop weighs approx. 6.14lbs and features a 15.4-inch widescreen display with a resolution of 1280×800 and up to 200GB of 4,200rpm SATA hard drive. It has a price tag of $949 (base configuration) and also comes with HP Imprint Finish “Radiance” coating and Microsoft Windows Vista OS.

I ordered one of these after having looked at many. It seemed to be the most handsom of the Laptops in its price range, and the most value priced for the features which were included with it. It seemed that the equivalant Dell was $75 to $100 higher in price. I got the 12 cell battery 2Gigs Ram 1.5Ghz Dual Processor with the 667 bus speed, and the DVD-RW.

Hope it is good, will recieve it in about 2 weeks.

I must say ive had this laptop for a little over a year now and its quite nice. But the drawback is Vista. I absolutely hate it. So if you like Vista then great, Buy it. If not on the other hand its still a great computer to buy but good luck on finding everything to downgrade to XP. Its a bitch.
