Gigabyte W251U LaptopHere’s the winner of the Best Choice of Computex 2006 Award, the dual core W251U laptop from Gigabyte. This laptop is one of the three new notebooks from the company that uses Intel NAPA platform. This technology boosts the average perfomance (68% beyond that of its current Sonoma platform), while reducing power consumption (an average of 28 percent) and extending the battery life. Napa also improves wireless bandwidth and can help cut the size of a notebook by 30 percent versus today’s machines.

Powered by Intel Yonah Dual Core processor, Gigabyte’s 12.1-inch W251U laptop features a SATA hard disk drive, integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam, WXGA (1280×800) screen resolution, built-in Bluetooth connectivity, DDR2-667 RAM, two USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet, Wireless LAN connectivity, integrated dual array microphone, and a DVD/RW drive. Weighs at just 1.85kg and less than 1-inch thickness, the battery provides up to 4 hours of usage on full battery charged.
