Epson finally decided to produce their own netbook and join those mini laptop manufacturers on the battle to win the biggest netbook sales shares. Their first product, Epson MiniNote Netbook, features a 10.2-inch WSVGA (1024×600) display, an INtel 945GSE Express Video chipset, a 1GB of DD2 main memory, a 160GB of SATA hard drive, LAN, and WiFI connectivity. It is powered by a 1.6Ghz Intel Atom N270 processor and Microsoft Windows XP Home SP3 operating system. Not bad.
Epson MiniNote Netbook will hit the Japan store starting at the end of November. No words on pricing and US availability at the moment.
