ECS G10IL is the new mini laptop from Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS). Powered by an Intel Atom processor, this 10-inch notebook PC is scheduled to hit the US market in September, according to Henry Kwan, the company’s vice president of sales. A smaller 8.9-inch version will be also released later, but no detail when it’s going to ship into States.
ECS G10IL mini notebook PC sports an Intel 945 GSE chipset, up to 2GB of main memory, HSPA (HSDPA/HSUPA) mobile broadband connectivity for up to 7.2Mb/s of download speed, an integrated 1.3MP webcam, three USB ports, Ethernet LAN, built-in 56K modem, WiFI, Bluetooth, and a 4-in-1 media card reader.
In an interview with Laptop Magazine, it is also revealed that two more version are on their way. One with 8GB SSD and Linpus Lite 9.4 Linux OS, and the other with an 80GB HDD and Windows XP. Price starts from $399 for them.
