[CES] Toshiba Qosmio G35-AV660 Laptop Prototype

Remember Toshiba’s Qosmio G35-AV650 laptop? It’s one of the very first portable computer to come with a HD-DVD player. This year, at the CES 2007, the company unveils the prototype of G35-AV660, the successor of the AV650 notebook, featuring built-in HD-DVD burner. This world’s first laptop with the ability to burn HD-DVD media also boasts an integrated HD TV tuner and Windows Vista OS. Detail about the specs, price, and availability will be revealed later in the first quarter of 2007, promised Toshiba.
“With the addition of the HD DVD-R optical drive, the Qosmio notebook provides users with a state-of-the-art multimedia notebook that can burn up to 30 GB of data, including video or entire photo and music libraries, onto a single HD DVD recordable disc. The HD DVD-R optical drive also plays HD DVD movies at a resolution that is six times sharper than the DVD format“, the company said.
