BenQ Joybook R55 LaptopAlong with the HD-Ready LCD monitor FP241W, BenQ also released the Joybook R55 laptop yesterday. This 15-inch notebook boasts its screen’s ultra-fast 16ms response time, nVidia GeForce Go 7400 graphics engine with 256MB TurboCache technology, and the BenQ’s proprietary Exclusive UltraVivid technology that produces sharper and clearer images with refined details. This technology takes advantage of DBEF (Display Brilliance Enhancement Film) which raises the brightness of the screen to 200 nits. In addition, a low-reflectivity coating on the screen surface aggregates emitted light to further enhances brightness, while ensuring saturated color and crisp. Don’t worry if you don’t understand all that techical explaination, neither do I.

The Joybook R55 laptop is powered by the dual core Intel’s Core Duo 1.66GHz processor, 5400RPM SATA HDD, and built-in Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) connectivity. It is also equipped with two USB 2.0 ports, VGA port, Ethernet LAN, printer port, headphone jack, and an optional efficient port replicator is available for faster and simple connection/disconnection. A powerful backup function has been included as well. Called QDataTrove, it can be activated simply by pressing the F10 key. The QDataTrove will provide a thorough data backup, an easy way of restoring the system’s factory default settings, and perform scheduled backups of system files. Users will be able to select which data to retrieve as well.
