Averatec 7100 LaptopAveratec Inc. has just unvelied their latest notebook product, the 7100 series. Sports a large 17-inch WXGA wide LCD screen with AveraBrite technology, this laptop offers a combination between a high-end technologies and a complete multimedia entertainment system. It is powered by AMD Turon 64 mobile technology (AMD Sempron processor version also available), up to 1GB of DDR RAM (expandable to 2GB), up to 100GB of HDD, DL-DVD/CD burner optical drive, 10/100/Gigabit LAN, IEE 1394 Firewire interface, three high-speed USB 2.0 ports, and an integrated 5-in-1 media card reader (xD/MS/MS PRO/MMC/SD).

Furthermore, the Averatec’s 7100 laptop is packed with a Type II PCMCIA/CardBus slot, PC Express slot, built-in 56K modem, WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity. For the security, Averatec includes Security Kensington Lock Slot and BIOS System Password Protection feature.

Comes in stylish black finish, Averatec 7100 notebook measures 15.5 x 10.9 x 1.37 inch and weighs 7.2 pounds. You can choose the OS you want (either Windows XP Home, Professional, or Media Center edition), and have it pre-installed along with several useful software such as Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite 6.0, Phoenix First Ware Recover software and Recover Pro software. This mobile PC is available now for a price of $849 to $1,199, depending on the features and configuration.
