During 3GSM World Congress Conference in Barcelona, Spain, HTC unveiled a uniqute laptop-like mobile office device called Advantage (a.k.a X7500). Runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition OS, this device is powered by a 624MHz Intel PXA270 processor, an ATI W2284 graphics engine, a 256MB ROM, a 128MB ROM, and an 8GB of hard drive. It’s interesting enough to find the mobile PC integrates a high-quality 3 megapixel camera with an additional camera and high power LED flash light, since even a real laptop won’t have that kind of feature. Moreover, it is equipped with a 5-inch touchscreen display, a built-in microphone, a dual spekaers and loudspeaker for hands-free operation, HTC ExtUSB (11-pin mini-USB 2.0 and audio jack in one), HTC proprietary 16-pin combined port (USB 1.1 host/VGA and TV Out) and miniSD card slot.

As expected, HTC Advantage also includes a wide-range of connectivity options, including Bluetooth, WiFI, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, and tri-band 3G/3.5G HSDPA. Those who tend to get lost in the city might appreciate the built GPS capabilities with the internal GPS antenna and 20-parallel channel GPS receiver. Finally, its battery provides up to 8 hours of continous usage on ful charge.

Weighs 359 grams, HTC Advantage (X7500) is planned to be first available through T-Mobile (dubbed as Ameo) in select European countries starting in March 2007, with HTC versions being released simultaneously in selected countries.
