Samsung officially announced its new dual-SIM cell phone, B5702, two days ago. You can use two of your SIM cards simultaneously and each will work on quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) networks. Unfortunately, data connection is limited to EDGE, so if you’re looking for a handset mainly for browsing the internet, B5702 is not for you. Comes with sliding mechanism, the phone has a simple, yet elegant design. And inside its 106 x 52.5 x 17.5mm body, you can expect some nice features such as an integrated 3 megapixel camera module with AutoFocus and video recording capability, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, built-in FM radio receiver with RDS, and 50MB onboard memory. Yeah, the last one is pretty lame, fortunately there’s a microSD media card slot that supports up to 8GB of storage so you can still store all of your favourite music for later playing using the handset’s built-in media player. Other features include a document viewer, a 2.4-inch display with 320 x 240 resolution and 262K colors, as well as two LED lights that indicates which SIM card is currently in use.
Samsung B5702 cell phone is scheduled to hit the market in May, first in Russia with a price tag of 14000 rubles (about USD $416). The rest of the world will follow later.
