Nokia To Upgrade 5800 XpressMusic Phone With Capacitive Touchscreen

My girlfriend would probably hate this news. It’s just less than 2 months since she bought Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone and now Nokia already makes a plan to upgrade the widely-popular handset with a capacitive touchscreen. 5800 currently uses resistive touchscreen technology which requires finger’s or stylus’ pressure to control the phone. Once the company incorporates capacitive touchscreen technology, users would enjoy more convenient navigation experience, just like those who use Apple iPhone, LG Arena, or Samsung Omnia. Nokia itself has prepared around 2 million of upgraded 5800 to be shipped between May and June this year. Not sure whether this ugprade will affect its price or not…
