i-Mate SmartFlip Cell PhoneThe SmartFlip is the newest cell phone from i-Mate. As you may already guess from the name, SmartFlip is a flip-style (or clamshell) smartphone. Powered by Windows Mobile 5.0, this phone offers a bunch of handy applications, such as Pocket Outloook for email and general productivity tasks, Internet Explorer Mobile for browsing the internet, Windows Media Player 10 Mobile for enjoying multimedia contents, and Pocket MSN for communicating with your friends or family anywhere. At just 98.5 x 51.4 x 15.8 mm dimensions, the quad-band (850/900/1800/1900) GSM phone is awarded as the world’s thinnest Windows Mobile Smartphone.

The SmartFlip phone uses TI OMAP 850 (195Mhz) processor as its engine. It is supported by a 64MB of RAM and 64MB of ROM. As for the 2.2-inch TFT LCD display, it has 240×320 resolution, 65K colors quality, and white backlight. A secondary 128×128 65K colors LCD is available as well. It can display time/date and useful notification (battery, text message, etc), along with a guide for the phone’s built-in MP3 player. Other features include a Bluetooth and GPRS/EDGE connectivity, USB 1.1, 1.3 megapixel camera module, Polyphonic MIDI ringotone, and Document Viewer (Word/Excelt/Powerpoint and PDF).

i-Mate SmartFlip cell phone will be available soon with a retail price of $517.
