Expected to hit the store with a price tag of $179, this black-colored handset (white and brown flavour are also available) comes with anything you want to beat your neighbour’s iPhone 3G. To mention a few: a touch-sensitive display, QWERTY keyboard, WiFI connectivity, and sexy design. It also packs a bunch of Google apps and services, such as Google Maps with StreetView, GMail, and YouTube; as well as ‘Android Market’, a dedicated place where G1 users can find and download applications to expand and personalize their phone.
G1 cell phone is developed by HTC of Taiwan and scheduled to make its debut on October 22. UK will receive the same handset in November, while most European will get them in the first quarter of 2009.
