Pioneer is going to unleash four new in-dash GPS navigation — HRZ099, HRZ088, HRV022, and HRV011 models. These satnav devices feature a 40GB of hard drive, a 7-inch display, a built-in 1-seg TV tuner, CD/DVD player, and media player supporting WMA, MP3, AAC, and DivX formats. All o them are also compatible with Apple’s iPod.

A closer look, HRZ099 (picture above) has a resolution of 800×480, while the rest comes with 480×234 resolution. Also, the HRZ099 and HRZ088 GPS are equipped with a built-in amplifier providing a maximum output of 50W x 4ch.

No words on pricing and availability at the moment.

JVC updates its car navigation device portfolio and introduces the new double-din KW-NX7000 InDash Navigation/CD/DVD Receiver. Comes with a detachable faceplate, the unit boasts a 7-inch low-reflection touch screen display, onboard storage to keep your multimedia files and maps data, movie player, and a promixity sensor which illuminates the relevant keys when being approached by your finger during navigation and DVD/CD playback.

Other features include NAVTEQ maps data with over 12M POI (Points of Interest), built-in RDS receiver for real-time traffic information, text-to-speech, multilanguage voice guidance, and a headphone surround sound for Dolby Digital 5.1 content. If interested, you can buy JVC’s KW-NX7000 Car Navigation for $1300. Later after it is shipped of course.

Pioneer has just announced that they are going to sell two new indash GPS entertainment systems — AVIC-F900BT and AVIC-F700BT — starting from June 2008 in Europe, USA, Russia, and Australia. Both devices feature a 5.8-inch WVGA touchscreen display, a 2GB of onboard memory, multimedia player (MP3, MPEG-4, DivX, WMA), and satellite navigation system with multi-language voice guidance, TMC (real-time traffic information), and TTS. The difference between the two models is that AVIC-F900BT comes with a DVD player, while the AVIC-F700BT sports a CD player. No words on pricing on both.

Your phone will automatically register with the NavGate AVIC-F900BT which can store, manage and call up to 300 contacts from three different phones (a privacy feature ensures that only the driver’s phone contacts are displayed). Calls can be made hands-free with conversations clearly relayed through your car’s speakers.

DNX7100 is the new in-dash multimedia navigation system from Kenwood. It allows you to watch movie while driving, as well as navigate through the maps, using its bright and clear 6.95-inch LCD touchscreen. It supports various popular media formats, including MPEG1, MPEG2, MP3, WMA, AAC, DivX, and JPG picture files. All of those multimedia files can be stored inside its hard drive allowing faster loading. The company also provides both US and Canada maps on the HDD, ensuring you won’t get lost on those regions.

Other features include input for rear-view camera feed, Sirius or XM Satellite radio receiver, Bluetooth connectivity, TV transmission, and iPod Video dock. Sounds cool!

Another product showcased by Sony at its CES 2008’s booth is Nav-U series in-car navigation system. All of the member of this GPS series sports a thin body, a touchscreen color display, up to 2GB of onboard storage, and a Memory Stick media slot. Some of them come with integrated TMC receiver as well, providing real-time traffic report and let you avoid traffic jam.

Land Rover will debut its new LRX concept car at upcoming Detroit Auto Show event next month. This would be an interesting vehicle for geeks since it comes with an iPhone dock at the center of its console. From digital audio playback (MP3, WMA, AAC, and WMV DRM), AM/FM radio, AudioCD player, to iPod (there’s a built-in iPod dock), it has them all. Furthermore, DPX-U77 also sports a USB port for more external storage connectivity.

Kenwood DPX-U77 Supreme car entertainment system is currently available in Japan with a price tag of 39,000 Yen or about 3€30.

Tend to get lost on your travel? Well, you might need this, “SD776″ satellite navigation device from LG. But only if you live in Korea since it is preloaded with Korea’s region map from iNavi. Recently showcased during SEK 2007 event, the in-car satnav is powered by SiRF Star III GPS chipset and boasts built-in MP3 and video playback. It also sports an integrated T-DMB (Terrestrial – Digital Media Broadcast) receiver, allowing users to watch satellite broadcasted TV programme while driving. Nice!

The thing that interest me is that the company has decided to ask Kawamori Shoji — the creator of Abio robot, as well as Macross and Robotech mangas — to design a robot which would represent the Dualis.
