Princeton releases two new 23-inch LCD monitors under PTFBGF series. The first one, PTFBFG-23RW has a glossy LCD display, while the second one, PTFBGF-23W comes with a non-glossy screen. Retailed with almost the same price (less than €280), both monitors boast a full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, a brightness of 300cd/m2, built-in 2 x 1.5W speakers, a dynamic contrast ratio of 1000:1 ~ 10,000:1, HDMI, DVI, and D-Sub inputs. Sounds great, especially when you think of its cheap price.

LG unveils three new LCD monitors recently. They are the 22inch W2253V-PF, the 24-inch W2453V-PF, and the 27-inch W2753V-PF. All of these displays have full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) and sports a contrast ratio of 1000:1 up to 50000:1, a brightness of 300cd/m2 (22-inch) and 400cd/m2 (24-inch and 27-inch), and DFC (Digital Fine Contrast) function. Also, the three monitors are equipped with DVI-D HDCP, D-SUB, and HDMI port.

Currently no words on pricing for all of those Full HD LCDs.

If the external 7-inch secondary display is too small for you, come rejoice. Samsung has just entered the secondary monitor market and proudly announced the new Syncmaster Lapfit Series LCD Monitor. Currently available in two different models (the 19-inch LapFit LD190G and 20-inch LapFit LD220G), the LapFit monitor offers the ability to extend your laptop or netbook viewing experiences by simply connecting the display to your notebook’s USB port. However, since a monitor takes a lot of power consumption, the LapFit won’t take power from your USB’ and you need to plug it onto another power outlet.

Regarding specs, Samsung’s Syncmaster LapFit LD190G and LapFit LD220G LCD monitors feature a contrast ratio of 20000:1, a display resolution of 1360 x 768, and a USB hub.

Many video editing or 3D animation software nowadays support the usage of two monitors. However, not many of us, who want to take the full advantages of those apps, have enough money to buy a secondary display monitor. The solution to this problem is to use an external USB display, which is kind of getting popular lately. One of them is the FTD-W71 USB External Display from Buffalo. It sports a 7-inch screen, a resolution of WVGA (800×480), and a contrast ratio of 500:1. Might not be the best choice outthere, but for its price, you can’t really complaint a lot.

Personally, I think it’d be nice to have one of these external display beside my laptop. I might use it to display my daily schedule or work plan, so I can always remember to finish my job and not spending too much time at Facebook…

It seems that Full HD resolution is becoming a standard on LCD monitor’s products. Like the newest display from Greenhouse, GH-ACH243SHB, that comes with a full 1920×1080 HD resolution, along with a nice contrast ratio of 1000:1 (or up to 30000:1 in DCR mode), a brightness of 300cd/m2, and a host of interfaces, including DVI-D (HDCP), HDMI, and D-Sub.

Greenhouse’s 23.6-inch GH-ACH243SHB LCD monitor is retailed for 32,800 Yen in Japan or about US $371.

Priced at a nice €730 (or about US$943), Eizo’s FlexScan S2432W-H is a 24-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) LCD monitor that boasts a contrast ratio of 1000:1, a brightness of 360cd/m2, and a response rate of 16ms. The display also comes with support for DisplayPort which is very handy if you have a MacBook Pro. Other features include an ambient light sensor and HDCP compatibility.

Eizo FlexScan S2432W-H LCD monitor is scheduled to hit the Japan store in December.

Samsung recently unveiled 2342BWX LCD monitor, a 23-inch widescreen monitor which should be the first QWXGA (2048 x 1152) display in the world. The display is so wide that one can fit two A4 pages side-by-side PLUS that Vista Sidebar (which I’ve never used since I installed Vista). So if you’re one of those Vista fans outthere, these might be the proper LCD for you!

Samsung 2342BWX LCD monitor is retailed for 230 Euros in Korea or about $297.

Dell always has creativity to create new product. They has just released two more wide-screen LCD display with 19:9 ratio.There are the 22″ S2209W and the 23″ S2309W This aspect ratio without compromising any resolution, so just get ready to find strange picture on your monitor. Available feature include:

* 16:10 aspect ratio
* 1,000:1 contrast ratio
* 5ms pixel response time
* DVI with HDCP encryption support
* VGA support
You can pick up the Dell S2209W for $239, while the S2309W is slightly more expensive at $299.

Samsung CX-2233GW is a 22-inch LCD monitor with a resolution of 1680 x 1050, a brightness of 300cd/m2, a basic contrast ratio of 1000:1 (can be boosted to a stunning 20,000:1), and a response time of 5ms. The display also has a DVI, HDCP, and D-Sub input ports. Interested? You can get one of these for less than €200 (about $263) in Korea market…

And another one from Acer… a LCD monitor which would fit nicely to the previously posted Hellcat desktop PC — F-22Bid Ferrari LCD monitor. This 22-inch display, available in a limited edition with only 500 units produced, sports a contrast ratio of 20,000:1 (ACM), a brightness of 300cd/m2, a response time of 2ms (GTG), a resolution of 1680 x 1050 (WSXGA), and a HDMI/DVI-D24/D-Sub interfaces.
