FCC has confirmed that Motorola A4500 World Phone, from Motorola of course, will soon hit the States through Verizon network. This candybar smartphone comes with a QWERTY keyboard, an integrated 2 megapixel camera module, WiFI connectivity, fingerprint scanner, microSD media card slot, support for EvDO, Bluetooth stereo, and quad-band GSM network. The handset will run on Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. Unfortunately, no further info from both Motorola and Verizon regarding A4500 cell phone…

Scheduled to make its debut appearance in Germany sometime this June on an exclusive agreement with O2, the upcoming i7500 cell phone from Samsung is going to be the first Android-powered handset from Samsung. And thanks to the usage of that Google’s open-source OS, rumor mentioned that the price of i7500 would be around just €300, which is pretty cheap considering the following features you would get — a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 320 (HVGA) and virtual keyboard, an integrated 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, built-in GPS navigation capability, an 8GB of internal memory, a 3.5mm headset jack, microSD media card slot, and both WiFI and Bluetooth connectivities. Furthermore, it is powered by a 528Mhz Qualcomm MSM7200A processor and Android 1.5 OS, and runs on quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as dual-band UMTS/HSPA networks. Pretty great specs, aren’t they?

Looks a lot like RAZR V9, the recently announced (in South Korea) Moto V10 from Motorola comes in a slim, squarish design. The interesting thing is the incorporation of Tandem Display technology which place two displays on the clamshell phone, each embedded on either side of the flip. Moreover, the mid-range 2G handset also features a unique gradation of black and red, making it looks gorgeous. No words on pricing yet, but Moto V10 is scheduled to hit the South Korea’s store in a few weeks.

The cheap and highly-affordable Samsung Smooth U350 cell phone is now available through Verizon Wireless distribution network. Measures 3.78 x 1.87 x 0.76-inches and weighs 3.35 ounces, this entry-level handset can be yours for $29.99 with a 2-year contract or $99.99 with a 1-year agreement. If you don’t want any long-term contract with Verizon, you can also purchase the phone for just $199.99. Regarding specs, Smooth U350 features a 1.9-inches display with a resolution of 128 x 160, Bluetooth connectivity, Voicemail, email, web browser, integrated VGA camera module, built-in GPS navigation receiver with VZ Navigator software, and a battery that lasts for up to 300 minutes of talk time or up to 336 hours of standby time. Not bad for a cheap phone…

I’ve been using Samsung Omnia for a while now but I’ve never use it as a modem for my laptop until recently. I thought it’d be hard to setup Omnia to work with my notebook, but it was actually pretty simple. Once connected, I can browse the web using its HSDPA connectivity, which is pretty fast in my opinion. To connect the phone and use it as a mobile internet modem, all you need to prepare is the supplied Omnia’s phone to PC USB cable and plug it to both devices. Then, go to Programs – Internet Sharing, and choose USB. Finally, hit the Connect command to ask your phone to connect to the internet. If succeed, once your Omnia connected to the internet, your laptop will be connected as well (network icon will show up on your tray bar). Simple, isn’t it?

Btw, Samsung Omnia is a great phone for those who want entertainment, connectivity, productivity, and communication; all-in-one device. It is affordable and comes with almost everything you need from a handset. Really!

My girlfriend would probably hate this news. It’s just less than 2 months since she bought Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone and now Nokia already makes a plan to upgrade the widely-popular handset with a capacitive touchscreen. 5800 currently uses resistive touchscreen technology which requires finger’s or stylus’ pressure to control the phone. Once the company incorporates capacitive touchscreen technology, users would enjoy more convenient navigation experience, just like those who use Apple iPhone, LG Arena, or Samsung Omnia. Nokia itself has prepared around 2 million of upgraded 5800 to be shipped between May and June this year. Not sure whether this ugprade will affect its price or not…

Evoke Q4A is the new upcoming cell phone from Motorola. It will very soon hit the store through Alltel distribution network. Designed mostly for social network and mobile communication purpose, the mid-end handset boasts a 2.8-inch full touchscreen display, virtual QWERTY keyboard with traditional slide-out keypad, and a full HTML web browser. Users can use widgets to provide instant access to various real-time information, such as sports, news, weather, stocks, and traffics; as well as connect instantly to their favourite social network sites. But while most handsets nowadays give direct support for Facebook, Evoke Q4A puts built-in integration for MySpace which allows users to easily post instant updates and view other profiles.

Other features include an integrated 2.0 megapixel camera module with video recording capability, stereo Bluetooth, built-in GPS navigation receiver, media card slot, and an ultra intuitive user interface. Moreover, Motorola Evoke Q4A cell phone also comes pre-loaded with popular Alltel applications, such as TV on Demand, Radio on Demand and Alltel Navigation.

Vodafone has started taking pre-order for HTC Magic, the successor of HTC Dream a.k.a T-Mobile G1 Android (one of the first Google’s Android-powered handset). Scheduled to hit the store on May 5, you can get the phone for free if you take Vodafone’s £30 (or more) monthly plan. No other alternative purchase option at the moment, neither information regarding worldwide release. According to HTC’s website, Magic features a 528Mhz Qualcomm MSM7201a CPU, Google Adroid OS, a 512MB of ROM and 192MB of RAM, a 3.2-inch TFT LCD touchscreen display with 320 x 480 (HVGA) resolution, HSDPA/WCDMA/GSM/GPRS/EDGE network, built-in GPS navigation, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, WiFI, an integrated 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, microSD slot, digital compass, and media player. Measures 113 x 55 x 13.65mm and weighs 118.5 grams, it comes with a Li-Ion battery that provides up to 400 minuts of talktime and up to 660 hours of standby time.

Sidekick LX cell phone has been unofficially confirmed. From the leaked internal memo, it is known that this next generation of Sidekick series handset will hit the store on May 13rd and you can purchase it for $199 with two-year agreement. Check them out — a 3.2-inch (854 x 480) Sharps’s F-WVGA swiveled display, a full-QWERTY keyboard, an integrated GPS navigation receiver, a 3.2 megapixel camera module with autofocus and improved video recording capabilities, support for Microsoft Exchange, a GPS-powered Live Search, and 3G/HSDPA connectivity. The new LG Suit (model number: LG-SV710) is a premium clamshell handset dedicated to businessman. Recently introduced in Korea market, the 14.7mm phone sports a clock with LED light on the front panel along with several handy organizer function, such as account diary and car diary. Moreover, Suit also features a high-gloss blue body, an integrated 3 megapixel camera module, video recording capability, and five pre-installed mobile games. If you want to buy it, the price is set between 400,000 Won (about $300) and 500,000 Won (about $375).
