Setting Up ZoneAlarm for IRC
Sponsored Links
After installing the new ZoneAlarm 6 Final Released, I got problem entering the IRC. Eventhough I already give access to mirc.exe file, I’m still unable to connect to IRC. Note that I get the Security Suite edition instead of ZoneAlarm Pro that I usually used before.
The error message that occured is: [ Blocked By ZoneAlarm ]
After googling for a while, I finally found the answer from here. Simply go to:
IM Security – Settings – Advanced – Uncheck Block IRC.
Dang, how can I didn’t think of that :p

Thank you…but why?
Thanks a bunch man. I also had this problem but you helped me with it!
I just reinstalled my Zone Alarm Security Suite to the newest version 7.0.483.000 . I have gone to the IM settings>Advanced>unchecked Block irc. Then opened mIRC and I am still getting the unable to resolve server error? Any clue as to why? Is it still Zone Alarm or maybe it is cause I have to configure mIRC in a certain manner before use? Any help would be greatly appreciated, TY
I just answered my own question
I feel silly now. I just needed to enter the correct server name
ty for the tip of the IM fix it was helpful as well
